This academic year, Dylan Moucka from the United States joined our academic community. His formal supervisor on the Fulbright programme was Dr Anna Szuchalska. During his time at the Faculty of Philology, Mr Moucka taught on the English Language and Literature programme, and students rated his commitment and teaching style very highly. He also collaborated with the administration, taking part in consultations and meetings.
His mentor was Dr Anna Sańczyk-Cruz, who ensured not only academic support but also positive experiences outside the university. Together, they organised two presentations: one to mark the University of Białystok's Open Day, and the other during the Faculty of Philology's 'Jeżowisko' event. This was an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, build relationships and promote intercultural openness.
However, Mr Mouck's stay at the Faculty of Philology was not limited solely to academic activities. Thanks to Dr Anna Sańczyk-Cruz, he also had the opportunity to experience the beauty of Podlasie. Joint trips to Tykocin, Supraśl and Białowieża allowed him to discover the history and unique character of our region.
Mr Mouck's presence enriched not only the students but also the entire academic community, leaving behind many valuable experiences and sources of inspiration.
