Between 7 and 13 May 2026, Wadiâ Skoukou, representing the Institut Royal de la Culture Amazigh (IRCAM, Morocco), undertook an academic internship at the Department of French Linguistics, University of Białystok.
As part of the internship, a lecture was held for students on 12 May 2026, entitled "Le statut linguistique et sociolinguistique de la langue amazighe (berbère) au Maroc" (The linguistic and sociolinguistic status of the Amazigh (Berber) language in Morocco). Wadiâ Skoukou also conducted research at the Jerzy Giedroyc University Library on lexicography, terminology, semantics and the presence of languages other than the official language in the country. The internship supervisor was Professor Joanna Cholewa, Head of the Department of French Linguistics.
